PLUS FEATURE

The new PLUS! Feature for stainless steel and Duragauge pressure gauges allows the use of dry gauges under process conditions that normally require a liquid filled gauge. Historically, vibration and pulsation have made gauges difficult to read and reduced gauge life. Customers have had no alternative but to liquid fill the gauges. Liquid filled gauges weigh more, can leak and are more expensive. There are also environmental considerations when disposing of an old liquid filled gauge.

The patented ASHCROFT® PLUS! Utilizes a unique cartridge to surround the pinion with an engineered dampening agent to dynamically dampen the pointer and movement. PLUS! Provides a steady pointer and longer gauge life. The need for costly speciality fills is
eliminated. It is lighter and there is no possibility of leakage. PLUS! Is available with ASHCROFT® all stainless steel gauge type T5500,
process gauge type 1009 and all Duragauge.

Ashcroft T5500PLUS^TM Endurance Testing Versus Competition

The following test procedure and results are from the severe vibration test of both Ashcroft T5500PLUS!tm and the equivalent competitors gauges. The testing was performed under severe conditions to accelerate the aging process for comparative purposes. Pressure gauges were mounted to a vibration table while pressurized. Severe vibrations of 7.5 g-force were then applied continuously to the gauges. The gauges were monitored for wear. The hours until a 1% accuracy shift were measured as a sign of failure.
